CURRENT TRAINING OFFERINGS
Speed & Conditioning (at the Baird in South Orange)
Increase agility, strength and athleticism! Classes are designed to provide your child with the foundation needed to improve their physical and mental approach to sports and overall wellness. Exercises are designed to improve overall fitness and are adjusted to your child’s skill level and physical development. Our goal is to teach your young athlete how to properly move their body with the highest efficiency and safety.
Courses are offered year round through the South Orange Recreation Department. Winter classes are in the Baird. Courses in the spring through fall seasons are held outside at Floods Hill in South Orange.
Baseball Pitching Training
A comprehensive training program designed for pitchers ages 8 through 14 looking to elevate their game. The program will emphasize mechanics, arm strength & arm care, command, mentality, safely throwing secondary pitches, and more.
Led by professional coaches, the small-group sessions will have a maximum athlete-to-coach ratio of 3:1 (most classes will be 2:1) allowing each player to get individualized attention. Each session will include strength & conditioning, flat-ground work and mound work. Mound distances will be 50' or 60', depending on age-level. Each pitcher will also receive an ergonomic evaluation done by a licensed professional, which will be used to develop a personalized exercise program to work on during class with our certified personal trainer and at home.
Baseball Catching Training
Calling all catchers ages 8-13! Get ready for the spring season by joining our Friday night pitching training! Each session includes 30 minutes of strength & conditioning where you'll improve arm, core and leg strength and work on speed & agility. Plus, hands-on blocking, framing and receiving training during 30 minutes of live catching at 46', 50' or 60'.
Speed & Conditioning (in Maplewood Village)
Increase speed, agility and strength! This 7-week course takes place in Maplewood Village and is designed specifically for elementary school-aged athletes looking to up their game. Using age-appropriate drills, exercises and games, our instructors design a well-rounded and fun workout while also teaching health and wellness principles.
Private & Small Group Training
We offer private training and small group sessions. We run sport-specific training or general fitness, one-on-one or a whole team. If you are interested, email us at info@schoolofreps.com!
